Daisies (detail) by Ann Foster

This exhibition is Ann’s second at Lostwithiel Library Gallery. It follows her successful ‘Earthly Delights’ exhibition, which took place in November 2004.

Cornwall is noted for its many beautiful gardens and Ann draws her inspiration from them. Her paintings are made using a mix of watercolour, pastel and colour pencil and her paperworks and textiles are created using a variety of threads, silk fabric, dyed and painted scrim, coloured net, beads and her own handmade silk papers.

This time she is sharing the gallery with the Harrison family, Nic, Jackie and their daughter Lisa. Together they will be presenting a mixed show of paperworks, textiles, paintings, ceramics and jewelry.

The Harrison’s have their studio at Trelowarren, where Nic creates stoneware pottery and porcelain. His wife, Jackie weaves rugs, braids and tapestries and their daughter Lisa designs and makes handmade precious metal jewelry.

The approach to Lostwithiel Library

Lostwithiel Library lies at the end of an alley whose entrance is twenty metres down North Street from the main road [A390]. Be aware that North Street is one way, so you cannot turn down into it from it from the main road. Find parking at or near the Lostwithiel Community Centre which is close to the Fire Station and more or less opposite the Talbot Hotel.
