From 28 May till 11 June 2005 I am combining with the Harrison family to show a new major exhibition, Spring into Summer, at the Lostwithiel Library Gallery.
Here we offer just a glimpse of the paintings, pastels, textile works, ceramics and jewellery that will be on display.
My own work is inspired by the variety of colour, shape and texture to be found in living plants and the creative individuality of gardens.
My textile works are created taking ideas from my paintings and using a variety of media such as threads, silk fabric, dyed and painted scrim, coloured net, beads and my own handmade silk papers.
It is a delight to share this exhibition with the Harrison family. Their energy and exuberance is infectious and the exhibition promises to benefit from the synergy of combining and celebrating our different artistic styles.
Nic Harrison makes lovely, tactile stoneware. Jackie Harrison makes gorgeous rugs and tapestry. Lisa Harrison makes intriguing silver jewellery.
This exhibition follows on from my first solo exhibition, Earthly Delights, which I put on at the same venue in November 2003. I have retained the "Earthly Delights" material on this site as an historical archive.
